3rd Annual Patriot's Day

The third annual Patriot’s Day celebration in Franklin County will take place on Saturday, April 26 at 11 a.m. at Veteran’s Memorial Plaza, on Market Street in Apalachicola. The program will begin with a welcome from Jimmy Mosconis followed by an invocation by Rev. Charles Scott and the Presentation of Colors by the Port St. Joe High School ROTC. Tamara Marsh will sing the Star Spangled Banner. Grant Smith will lead the Pledge of Allegiance and veterans David Butler and Arnold Toliver will place a patriotic wreath at the foot of the memorial. Don Carroll will close the ceremony with a benediction and blessing of the food. A Cajun lunch will be served at noon. Cost of the meal is $7 for adults and all children eat free.Proceeds benefit Veterans Memorial Plaza, Home of the Three Soldiers Detail South.
