Lighthouse Flagpole Dedication
The Flagpole in St. George Lighthouse Park will be dedicated on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 2014. The ceremony will begin at 11:45 a.m. and will feature a traditional Memorial Day 21-gun salute commencing at 12 noon, with one shot fired every minute until 12:20 p.m. The nautical Flagpole, which flies the U.S. flag, the State of Florida flag, and the pennant of the U.S. Light House Service, will be dedicated to island resident James W. Lambert Jr., who passed away last year.
